P3D Re: Tom's Base Calculator

First, thanks to the Bobs (H and M) for assuring me that the film
plane indicator on my SLR is the appropriate measure-from point for
point distance. I never noticed that symbol before BobH mentioned it
in his previous post on this.
Tom's improvements and Excel downloads are, alas, unavailable to me, a
cyber-laggard. I broadcast to P3D from the local university library
computers which limit me to browsing and typing (no cut/paste,
down-or-uploading) and the only computer I've ever owned is a
Commodore VIC20 (3.5K of RAM!), which I must plug into the TV set, so
no good shows can be on.
This puny condition makes me even more anxious to see the analog slide
rule idea in operation, so I hearby offer the Springsteen Prize.
The first person to devise and demonstrate to me a straight or
circular slide-rule-type device which allows stereo base calculation
that does not violate the basic rules of Bercovitz/Spicer; which uses
no electricity, steam, gas or other non-human-power source; and which
allows for the calculation of any far distance between 1 foot (or
less) and infinity (or more); or who can demonstrate to me the prior
existence of such device meeting all said criteria, will receive a
copy of the first stereocard I ever have accepted in a PSA-sponsored
exhibition, if that ever occurs. Units of measurement used may be
inches, centimeters, jelly-beans or whatever you like. Focal length
and focal point may be assumed, as well as film format and on-film
deviation.
No pushing or shoving. Beat that, Tom ($100 buck for perpetual
motion) Deering!
Bruce (Vegemite, the long-sought perfect stereocard adhesive!)
Springsteen
