P3D Thick Film? Infrared

I am not sure about Scala, But I do remember trying to cut the old E-4
Ektachrome Infrared with a VM cutter. What a pain. It seemed to stretch
more than cut. I had to hand trim most the pieces. Plus then the film
base depolarizes the images if projected. Does anyone have experience
with the new E-6 Infrared. Is it on the same film base as regular
Ektachrome? I need some reason to use my series V red filters.Scala?
