P3D Mark's request for input...
>Might I suggest a simple collaboration on all of our parts to
>bring together a list of principles or stated goals as they
>relate to Stereo-Photography.
Hmmm... I am not sure I understand what you are asking Mark...
There are technical principles and aesthetical principles.
Seems that you are looking for aesthetical principles?
It is not easy to carry this discussion via email only.
>When you put camera to eye what are your thoughts?
Actually, my thoughts start before I put the camera to the eye.
And it is these thoughts that make me put the camera to the eye.
Spontaneously: I see something that I think it will make a good
stereo picture, something that I would like to capture on film.
Once I put the camera to the eye I pay attention to composition
and technical details like trying to keep the camera leveled, etc.
Methodically: I have an idea and seek to put it on film.
At the end, learning through experience is what this is all about.
You see something you like. You take the picture. You examine
the picture and you learn something. You don't need to stop
at your own experiences. Look at what others are doing. Join
a club! (I know you have done this! Not sure if you have attended
a judging yet but this is a great learning experience - hearing
what judges like or don't like about a picture). Join a SSA or PSA
folio. Share you experiences with others and learn from other's
experiences!
