I have a complete set of the camera filters (The first version of the
process required the camera lens to opened up to f. 1.9. N.D. filters
were supplied to control exposure.), a couple of the projection filters,
suitable projectors and samples of the film!! Imagine an Autochrome in
motion. The effect is lovely.
I also have the Polavision system and some unused films. If Dr. Land had
got it working 5 years earlier, it would have been a sensation. As it
happened, his insistence on marketing it led to his explusion from the
company he founded.
To get us back on topic: There were some stereo Autochromes for sale at
the San Mateo (CA) photo swap this past week-end. At $35/ea., I passed
them up.
What appeared to be a stereo Daguerotype at $1500.00 was a little too
rich for my blood, too.
