P3D Just do it!

A brief word of encouragement to those who monitor this list, but have yet
to take the plunge into active stereo photography. I was in your shoes
several months ago, but finally purchased a nice, freshly CLA'ed 3.5
Realist, a Red Button viewer and a Realist film cutter and jumped into the
fray. It's been a hoot!

Keeping it simple (relying almost solely on Dr. T's updated Realist
manual, Sensia 100, easy-mounts or RBTs and the "sunny 16 rule"), I've
scored a better than 90 percent success rate.  And, of those, fully a
third were startlingly good (IMNSHO). 

No, there probably aren't any contest winners in the lot.  And I haven't
yet tried any truly challenging shooting conditions. But that's not the
point. This is FUN, and those to whom I've shown the slides have expressed
real excitement and wonder over what they are seeing. 

My advice to the hesitant: JUST DO IT! You won't regret it! (And, having
said that, my thanks to all of you "veterans" who provided me with
encouragement and counsel!)
