P3D Stamps and Stereo

The same could be said for why photograph a postage stamp, or anything
completely flat (i.e., no depth).

Wait a second here, stamps are not flat. They have a paper texture,
sometimes raised inks from printing and a watermark. Stereo has been used
in the past to detect forged stamps by looking at the relationship of the
watermark to the ink and/or paper.

So, leave stamps out of it, it ain't so.
