Let's not get too worked up about the depth discussion! {:>) We have 
been mixing apples and oranges in some cases, which has led to some 
quite interesting debates. The majority seem to agree that some amount 
of depth is important in stereo, especially in a stand-alone image. BUT, 
it has also been accepted that in a SEQUENCE a "flat" image is 
acceptable (and even welcomed) when it adds information to the show or 
would create a gap if omitted.

It would be interesting to hear from more beginners or new comers to 
stereo and see their thoughts.
