P3D Realist rough edge wind fix

I found a simple way to save you thumb and forefinger when rapidly winding or unwinding the Realist.  Office Max sells 12 Rubber finger tips for around $1.69.  I used size 12 Medium/Large.  Tou then cut the a ring approximately 1/4 inch off the bottom and it fits snugly over the wind knob.  You then have a nice rubberized wind knob.  I only use it on the forward knob, keeping the rewind knob bare for the rewind crank.  If you do a lot of rapid shooting, like I do, this keeps the fingers from getting sandpapered to shreds.  Do not use the ACCO brand sold at Staples.  They
rip just trying to put your finger in.
