P3D The Feel Good Slides Of The Year

Here is a thought about Stereo Base Calculations. Suppose I take several
pictures using different stereo base calculations, actually using the
"Wrong" ones, show them to the experts (EX=Has Been, SPERTS=Drips Under
Pressure) and everyone likes them. Oohhh's and Ahhhhs abound, World Wide
Acclaim, "Brilliant Technique," quotes the New York Times, "The feel good
slides of the Year"....Quotes Roger Ebert.... and all that.

Now, suppose that the stereo base used goes against all of the conventional
wisdom the whiz Bangs are proffering. How would I be able to tell if one of
the images is really bad, because I used the wrong math?

Curious,

RM
