P3D Gentlemen, please!

I'm no gentleman, but I'm jumping in anyway!

Realist is, after borrowing one from the Oakland Camera Club. It is the
same as what my little sister saw in crossword puzzles and cryptograms
back when she was nine or so. I found the Realist a little difficult to
puzzle out, but then I never cared for puzzles or cryptograms.<<<<

anybody who enjoys crossword puzzles and cryptograms. C'mon, what
happened to civility in this group.<<<<

Quick, boys (and girls), there's another sorry attempt at humor. Go git
'em. Sic 'em! Stomp 'em! Make sure we embarrass them enough to never,
never again make another quick quip.

George G. can jump in any time and tell me he really did mean to sound
snotty, arrogant, or demeaning when he posted his comment, but I
interpreted it as an example that some people enjoy challenges, and that
the Realist is somewhat of a challenge. More than some of us care to
undertake, not because we can't, but because we choose not to - it
doesn't interest us (gee, George, sounds a lot like that math thing vs.
"simple shooting," eh?). {;>)

3d picture by moving a single camera over a few inches and taking
another shot. Then I got the Argus, and amazed my friends and
co-workers. Then I got a Realist, and have been taken to new heights of
photographic bliss.Someone at the convention said during a workshop said
that the Kodak, while not quite as good as the Realist, was a lot easier
to use. Someday I may try one. But why insult people who really are
enamored with this little invention. Not to mention crossword puzzle and
cryptogram afficionados.<<<<

Nobody is insulting anyone! Gee whiz, guys, get with it!

Congratulations, Ray, on your 3-D success (with all of your equipment of
choice)! I happen to agree that the Realist is not the easiest camera to
use (I have observed them in use, but not actually had the desire to try
one). My husband will back me up, especially since we got him a Kodak at
NSA to replace his Realist. My stereo camera is a Revere 33, which I
absolutely love. It has the ease of use of a Kodak and the focusing
capability like a Realist. Now, if they only had hinged the back so
changing film was easier (yeah, I hear you Kodak people snickering).

p.s. Why is the Realist *better* than a Kodak (or other stereo camera).
Are the pictures sharper or something? I've never noticed any
difference.
