Is this last a stereo photographer? I seem to remember some talk of having
at least one non-stereo photographer among the judges for this award. I
could be confused about that, though.

I believe I said that I thought the PSA was about 40 years behind. But
remember, I said this along with an acknowledgement that I have not yet
seen what actually comes into the exhibitions. It is only an initial
impression, which could quickly change with some more experience.
Depending on which of my images got the HM, I might be able to say that the
result supports my impression. At least one of my submitted images is
rather old fashioned, I feel (bet you'll never guess which one!).

How can this slide have been entered in the Image of the Year contest. I
thought each entry had to have won at least one award in one PSA Salon?

If you are saying it got an award in Detroit, but was a reject in many
other exhibitions, then I understand. Perfectly. Results are very
variable, indeed. (Two of my silver medal winners, from late last year,
went on to get rejected at a number of other Salons. Basically, I've
learned to send in just about anything, and not get too attached to the
idea that any one image is going to get me great results.)

Congratulations to the P3D Performers! Esp. Andrea. She is worthy! I
really liked her show at NSA.

Yours,

Boris

P.S. George! I would like to see your underwater shot!
