I am afraid that precision requires a slightly better mount than cardboard
mounts. I was fortunate to acquire a large batch of Realist Metal Masks, so
I am not fighting these issues (Yet). I also have some RBT which are pretty
good as well. As far as Optical Assists....I use a Realist Viewer. My
procedure is as follows:

1. Reverse roll the roll of Kodachrome film, and let it rest for 3 or 4
hours.
2. Adjust the Realist Cutter, and cut the entire roll up. I use the Realist
sorting box.
3. Since I am still able to use Realist Metal Masks, I can also use the
Mounting Jig.
4. After each pair is mounted, I view it and make the required corrections.
5. Select the best ones and bind in glass.
6. Record the info about the slide and label it.
