I liked a few of the images, but I find them not as sharp as I prefer them.
I see you used print film... any specific reason? Personally, not my
choice. I think you got a little too close on the single tree, however. why
are you using print film, and not Kodachrome? Just curious.
Good Luck,

Sharpness of the images is really the quality of the scan. This is from a
desktop (flat bed) scanner with a transparency adapter. I ran about 20 image
pairs and only posted these 4 due to contrast buildup and image detail (I had
this great view of the top of a fish-hook catus in bloom, but when scanned it
looked like nothing!). Anyway all these look good in the hand viewer. I
actually find that I get better results using a 4x6 print and scanning that
rather than using the original neg or slide.
Note that these images were scanned directly from within the RBT mount and I
was using the 3D Stereo Factory (correct name) from the 3D-CD. I'll be buying
the registered version in the near future. It was great, I scanned it as a
pair of images, and the software actually split the images into the left-right
version.
Print film? who said anything about print film? Ages ago I used to shoot
kodachrome, but now I'm primarily a green-box man - these images are all Fuji
Velvia - same with most of the "flat images" on my site. I just go t a rebate
coupon for some E100 SW that I was going to give a try on the fall leaves in
the next month.
for those of you who question the use of fullimages vs thumbnails and then
links to full images,
Yeah, I know, but then you have multiple pages to deal with and the extra room
(disc space) that is required for the thumbnail. I go back and forth on this
one. If the person is going to look at one or two images, then thumbnails are
great and save time, but if you want to see every image then having the full
images online saves time and paging back and forth. This is my compromise to
at least get images up on the site and save me some time. As it is if you
notice I'm using a second 10MBs of webspace on a different server than my main
"home" page. I hate to take things down after having put all the effort into
scanning and building these pages!
I do have a CGI script that allows a contact sheet sort of view and titling to
be added, but againt the extra space. Go to my gallery page, and you'll see
the link to this one.
