>1. If you could only have one lens, that's it, what would it be. And
For my Nikons (ha!), I would use Nikkor 50mm f2(?) macro lenses.
>2. I have two Nikon F2's (the newest pieces of camera equipment I own)
>and need to get a twin cable release. Do these work well? How good
They work well enough for natural light. But you can forget about trying
to synch strobes to your shutters.
>4. And slides. What's better, twin 2x2 or RBT 8 perf mounts?
If you ever want to duplicate or scan your slides, so that the rest of us
can enjoy them, duping and scanning is easier for 2x2 mounts. (plus,
that's the way they come from the processor, ordinarily - saves you the
trouble of mounting).
Drawback: getting a really good 2x2 viewer.
>6. Anything else you have to say is just dandy with me.
Remember, you can get nearly normal horizontal interaxial separation by
staggering your cameras together. I tried that recently, and it worked
well. But I will continue to shoot my portraits mostly in vertical format
(cameras base to base).
Have fun!
