Regarding the setup used by the 3Discover people, they do use
paired Nikon N90's. Actually they have quite a few! To simultaneously
trigger them they spliced together two remote triggering cords. Of
course they have a couple of these also!
They mentioned that it works extremely well, but they have
noticed that after awhile (aging of components?) they tend to
get out of sync but still very useable. Also using a flash can be
problematic. They do use the auto-focus feature when required
and it works quite well. You might have to converge the cameras
depending on the scene.
