Susan and I often plan weekend outings at places likely to produce good
stereos. Our recent two-week vacation at Yosemite, Tioga Pass, Mono
Lake, three different caves (Moaning Caverns, Mercer Caverns and
California Caverns) and various other sites along highway 49 in the
Mother Lode country was a stereo bonanza (I shot 22 rolls of 18 pairs
just myself). Other favorite locations include Marine World Africa USA
in Vallejo, the necropolis in Colma, the California Academy of Sciences
in S.F., Rosicrucian Park in San Jose, the Santa Cruz Boardwalk and of
course our own neighborhood.

Future outings include the Winchester Mystery House in San Jose,
Mission San Jose, and the Behring Auto Museum. Auto shows, county fairs
and parades are also good candidate subjects.

I have considered doing tabletops. I like the concept, but I confess
I'm a lazy person and it's easier to go someplace photogenic and
photograph what's already there than to painstakingly set up an
artificial scene where you have to gather all the materials yourself.
