P3D Re: entering stereo contests

Jet-7 tells us that he does not like entering stereo contests and he
goes on to explain the reasons.

He says that he shoots stereo for his own enjoyment and the enjoyment
of friends and strangers. Jet-7, are you open to suggestions or critique
from these friends and strangers? You once had some of your images in a
web page. Did you receive any comments? Were you open to critique about
the pictures, the techniques, the results?

Why is the opinion of (any) 3 judges any different?

Apparently, Jet-7 did not agree with the opinion of the judges and
also, as a judge, he scored the images differently than the other
two judges. Welcome to the real world! People are allowed to have
different opinions and they do have different opinions.

I do not "buy" the stereotype that "judges" like certain images
(in Jet-7's words: "I think that when ever people judge, they are out
of touch with what people like, and often give a great score to a boring
"Postcard" style nature photo that is so far of in the distance that it
doesn't even have any 3-D feel to it.") exactly because Jet-7 was given
the chance to be a judge and because I have been a judge myself.

I enjoy the judging process and there is a lot to be learned from it.
Many times I do not agree with the scores, but accept the diversity
of opinions.

Thanks! Great suggestion!
