Mark Kernes asks about how sturdy a base a taut rope gives.
I don't personally know but in anycase, Brian Reynolds replied
to this question.
If your not using a Realist, why not just turn the camera
upside down and rest it on your forehead ala Realist.
They mention this tip in the current issue of Pop Photo
but they don't mention the Realist!
