My experience is that even if you show perfectly mounted slides
(like mine, for example :-)) some people (maybe 1:20 or 30) will
display these symptoms of headache/sea-sickness.  

I brought this issue for discussion about a year ago.  Several
people commented on general aspects of public projections.  No
one knows for sure why some people react like this but I am
convinced that this reaction is not related to the quality of 
mounting.  It is unfortunate but it happens.  Peter Abrahams
gave a good advice:  Warn people about the special nature of
the projection and the possibility of having an adverse reaction
to it.  Tell them that if at any time they feel uncomfortable,
they can just get up and leave.
