P3D Compco Triad polorizers

Now that fall is in the air a young man's fancy turns to 3D again (well,
maybe not so young... born-on dated 1953).  I have been wondering about the
glass polorizers in my Compco Triad projector.  Are they prone to the same
amount of fading over the years as the plastic polorizers found in the TDC
projectors?  I notice that Reel-3D doesn't sell replacements for the Compco
and was wondering why.  Is it simply that the Compco isn't as popular as the
TDC?
