I'd also want to know that.  I've a stereotach that I haven't used
as yet (mirrors need to be glued back in place) but have used a Pentax
splitter/adapter for quite a long time, and at first glance, they
look to be the same in principle.

I haven't noticed  that fore/aft angle made a difference.  It's
always worked just fine, pretty much like a realist (in terms
of only needing to keep things level in left-right direction).

If you look at my "chicken picture" ( http://www.photo-3d.com ) the
photo is looking down at the chickens at maybe 45 degrees.  Now
the original picture was poorly done for a number of reasons, and
the $5 scan adapter really didn't work all that great -- but I
don't see an obvious rotation problem.  Does anyone else?
