P3D Demographics

I suppose I'll call myself a " stereo teenager" ( a youthful reference I
could get used to ;-)) I'm 39 and Karen ( "baby Gerber" we'll call her)
is age 32. As a kid I recall sitting in a crib and covering each eye to
notice the background shift to each side of the crib bar! Much later ( 2
years ago) I busted apart a viewmaster, analyzed some reels and tried to
duplicate the 3-d by removing the viewmaster chips and taping my own to
the reel. My SLR with motor drive produced twin chips ( little or no
cha-cha) and the result was a flat image behind the window in the
foreground! Just as I was beginning to figure things out, I stumbled on
3-D sites and found P3D. My first conversation was with Dr.T! I was
blown away that others shared my facination with this! I was not alone.
Had I not found P3D, I would now have a collection of the thickest,
masking taped, 2-D behind the window ( some had alittle depth)
uninspiring reels of garbage you would ever see! I'm proud to say that
the Realist has elevated my garbage works to simply junk that can be
tolerated :-)        Mark Dottle
