I have added a 62 mm F.L. Achromatic Lenses for full frame users with
eyeglasses. I guess whether it is needed may depend on the distance
between a users eyes and the glasses. However I prefer the 47 mm focal
length lens with the full frame even when I wear my glasses. This is
just personal preference, though, because I like a larger image.
I originally bought the 62 mm lenses for myself because it allows me use
the viewer without my eyeglasses on (I am very nearsighted). I did not
put it on the web page because I don't have a lot of these lenses. The
lenses are not cemented in but are put into the eyepiece of the viewer
using a compression ring. This allows for the easy replacement of
lenses if you want to have more than one FL lens available to use. Say,
47mm for Realist and 62 mm with Full Frame. Shorter FL lenses (below 43
mm) can only be used with a slight modification of the eyepiece to allow
it to get closer to the slide. I haven't tried this yet.
All viewers made with smaller apertures (European and Realist) work best
with the 47mm FL Lenses even if the user is wearing glasses (in my
experience).
Happy viewing 8-)
