P3D Re: Round or Circular

Wow!   I make one little two line comment and a thread 
explodes even though I "retracted" it almost immediately
when the dumbness was pointed out.  The context of my 
seeing circular polarizers usually is in regard to 3D
CRT displays where "my" circular polarizer is used to 
cut down light that has been circular polarized in the
other direction -- NOT incoming linear.  And that context
had my brain on the wrong track long enough for my 
lightning fingers to say something dumb.   I do appear
to have let open a floodgate!!!!  Sorry for those others
who are getting drowned.  I deserve what I get though.  :-(
