P3D pc for vm personal

Does anyone know of an adaptor allowing the use of a modern strobe (like
vivitar 283 or 285) with the Viewmaster Personal camera?  I see that the Reel
3-D catalogue FAQ section says it can't be done without a modification to the
camera by a technician.  Anyone know any different?  Or, if Reel 3-D is
correct, does anyone know what I can expect to pay?  Thanks.  Jim Norman
