Not necessarily true. That's because first most of the bidders
(including myself) are first looking out for bargains. Therefore
most often one is bidding a maximum bargain bid. In that case
if one bids there maximum bargain bid early on that gives ample
opportunity for others to get the bargain for only a few dollars
more. If one bids at the last few seconds then we reach the
limits of infinity! ;-)
