P3D 3d dreams / memory

Friends,

the talk about the DVG effect, and the talk some time ago regarding
dreaming in 3D makes me think and review my own experiences, limited though
they might be. As far as the brain putting in depth perception, where
there should be none: why does it not do that when dreaming or remembering?

For example, I generally do not remember stereo views in stereo. Sure, I
remember the depth in a scene - but I remember it conceptually. My visual
recall of a scene, or a given stereo image, is generally pretty flat! Same
for dreams.

I suppose this might be related to the fact that I appear to be of the type
of person that prefers pretty substantial stereo cues - i.e. subtle stereo
is lost on me! I really prefer the closeups and the rather substantial
stereo disparity that such pictures provide.

Just a thought and a comment.

Boris
