P3D Cleveland - Nov. Meeting

Another fun night in Cleveland!  First part of our meeting was a
workshop by DrT.  "Tips for Using a Manual Stereo Camera".  This
was essentially a quick overview of the manual controls and how
they work in stereo photography, together with recommendations
on how to set/use the camera in different photographic situations:
Normal available light (7 ft to inf.), low light/no flash, use of
flash, close-ups.  This is also the subject of a series of articles
in our newsletters and will continue until the end of the year.

Many stereo cameras on display:  Realist, Kodak, Revere, TDC Vivid,
TDC Colorist, VM Personal, Stere-All, Iloca, Wirgin, ISO Duplex.

Second part of the meeting:  Stereo slide competition "People".
I was impressed by the quality of slides in such difficult assignment.  
Even though awards were given in 40% of the entries, some of the slides 
that did not get anything deserved an award, IMO.  "People's Choice" 
went to the side that took second place.

I had 3 slides.  One of them ("Hay Ride", this illustrates my RBT S1
review in Stereo World - see issue 23.6) got 3d place.

Next month we have an "Open House" (display and demonstrations of
interesting stereo items) and our Stereo Print Competition.
