I can see how you might guess the film was 40's by associating with
the first large public use of polarized glasses at the '39 Fair.  The
Audioscopics films were Anaglyph, not polarized.  If I remember correctly,
Polaroid introduced those glasses around 1935, and while Polaroid had done
some 3-D tests with it, it took a few years before being displayed at the
'39 World's Fair.
