And I'll add that there is often a "Select All" option in the Edit menu to
save scrolling through the document.
If there isn't a "Select All" command, then you can try putting the insertion
point in front of the first character, the scrolling to the end, then put the
mouse pointer after the last character and, holding down the SHIFT key,
clicking the mouse. This method is actually very handy for partial selection,
as well. You don't have to be as accurate with your mouse positioning as you
do with mouse dragging...
