P3D Digital TV = VM?

Saw a review of a PBS special to be broadcast tonight in Digital HTV(?)
format. It's about the glassblowing artist Chihuly. The promoter for
the event likened the new format to Viewmaster pictures(!) in "depth"
and quality. The reviewer also said he noticed more "depth" in the
picture.

I guess simply having a sharper picture makes the difference.
