I am not at all pessimistic regarding 3 D photos because It is possible
first time that 3 D photos beat 2 D photos now, at least in professional
photos, especially for still- life objects.
I know the key technology of 3 D photos beating 2 D photos has been solved.
The Barrior Technology offers true-lift images and the outstanding 3rd
dimension. We have shown the 3 D samples to Coca-cola, Pepsi, Philip Morris,
Martini and other companies. They were all shocked by these samples and
interested in using 3 D photos for advertising.
The newest 3 D photos are shown in the light boxes and their sizes could be
enlarged up to 60"*60". The objects in the light box seem to be out of the
pictures and there are very deep background. Its most important difference
with the old stereographs is without the aid of special glasses but it does
not produce degraded image such as lenticular. Its real life and color
images are the same as, even superior to 2 D photos. The jump problems faced
by Barrior Technology have been solved and its cost is quite low. It is not
a novel and dream. Therefore, 3 D photos are no longer toys and as a
novelty. They are the same commercial tools as 2 D photos in professional
photos. You will love them if you come to New York City to see the samples
which are showing in Duggal Color Projects, Inc. which is the biggest
professional photo-lab in the U.S.A.
