P3D Nostalgia

I read in a book (one of the first reappraisals of Art Deco in the 60's)
that people are curious (nostalgic) about the era at or just before they
were born. This may explain some of Lounge/cocktail(& stereo?) trends
among some boomers (but not the more recent "swing" one).

The 20 year- generation time period is about right as well, I guess. It is
ironic that there is a show called "That 70's Show" that, presumably, the
retro-kiddies are watching in big numbers (I've watched some too). But, oddly
enough, I recall the shag-cut, hig-hugger kids of that era 20 years ago
all went home from school to watch "Happy Days" about what kids were
doing 20 years before that era!
