That's correct. Take for example computers. How many in this list
spent $2,500 for a computer system that two years later was worth
under $500? (I know I did... twice!)

When I tell people about the RBT S1 and how much it cost, I see the
same reaction... They open their eyes and mouth... looking at me
with disbelief... Then they ask what did my wife say about that...
(as if I care! :-)) Same people have no problem spending on computers,
cars, whatever... Everything is relative...

When it got started in photography I was debating whether I should
buy the 50/3.5 Minolta macro lens or just stay with the normal lens.
The macro lens was as much as the camera body itself, if not more.
Finally, I decided that I should get it. This has proven to be the
most useful piece of photographic equipment I have ever owned!
I used in my research, to take pictures of samples, set ups, copy
prints, make slides. Later, take 3d pairs, duplicate slides, etc...
Definitely the best investment I have ever made. (I still have it
and use it often, at home and at work!)
