Oh my, I'm afraid my labels may still not be clear. "Dolphins In Space" is
a Lightwave render. I really need to find the time for an update. Some of
my pictures are combinations of LW and conversion.
Dale also asked (about Lightwave 3D software):

The full version of LW is about $1500. There is a moderately crippled
version (limited in animation resolutions, I think, you'll have to check
with Newtek) called "inspire" for about $500. Available for most platforms.
LW requires a dongle. It is cheaper than 3D Studio Max or Wavefront's Maya,
etc. We won't get into the question of which is the best; that's for
another list (maybe SD-3D, if anyone is interested...but it's not a
question with a clear answer) I started on the Amiga OS, which is how I
got into LW. I keep looking at other programs, but LW is still most
cost-effective for me. But you understand it's a business--if I didn't get
paid to do this I'd be using something more moderately priced like Hash or,
heck, POVray.
