Success!

We had a big turnout last night at the 3D Fiesta, with nine people showing
up. That makes a pretty long table in a restaurant in Manhattan, when you
add all the slides and viewers. :^) The evening was fun. Just wait until
we get the word out to all those stereo folks NOT on Photo-3D! We'll do it
again in December.

Jason Shen's Barrier slides were very nice. The ones he brought were about
13 inches by 17 inches vertical, although they can be made bigger. They had
nice stereo depth, and great color. It was very kind of him to bring them
for us to see.

These Barrier images do not have that "prismatic" look that lenticular
pictures have. I can't describe it any better, and I didn't compare a lent
to the Barrier side-by-side. I think I like the Barriers better. Without
the prism effect they seem more natural.

There were several viewers in orbit around the table: MF, 2x2 and 5 perf.
I mistakenly brought several boxes of my throw-away slides! Brian Reynolds
saved the day, with a nice collection of slides in various formats.
Several folks brought really nice slides. It's fun to see what other
people are doing. :^)

We'll do it again on the third Friday in December. That's like a week
before Christmas, so the timing is perfect. See you then.

Tom
