P3D Olympus

I regularly shoot with a Realist.  I wanted to expand.  I like and use a
pocket Olympus stylus.  I would rather not use 2 XA's since they are
getting old.  I had a technician try to wire 2 stylus's together but he
couldn't due to the 3rd wire for autofocus.
Question -- He suggested that I use the stylus with the zooms and use a
remote control trigger which would trigger both cameras at the same time. 
Would this work????
