It is vastly different - and vastly improved - from Elite 200
(ca. 1991-1995) and Elite II (1995-1998), but is very similar to the new
amateur film Select Series Elitechrome 200.
This new film is still significantly grainier than all of the
100 slide films, but to its credit, it is very sharp.
I might mention here that Elite 200 and Elite II 200 were
extremely coarse grain - far grainier, in fact, then the old Ektachrome
200 (1976-1991 or so). E200S/Elitechrome 200 is finer grain than any of
these, but not all that much finer then the older non-Elite 200.
I do like the new film and recommend it when one really needs
the speed and really needs a slide. I still stand by 100 for "General
Purpose"
