hi folks! i'm reposting this letter to the list because i missed it!!
i've had problems with my phone's at&t call notes, getting stuck on a
fast busy tone, that's kept me from getting on line the last two days!!
i'm not reposting to get a response as much as i want to acknowlege the
folks that helped with this event!!!

hi all you p3ders!!

it happened today!! the kansas city museum is hosting national
geographic's exhibit, "the photographs", and members of my camera club
are giving talks each saturday on photography topics!! today was my
turn, so guess what my topic was??!! yup!!

i showed about 40 of my abstract light paintings along with several of
my traditional 3d images (no nudes)!! we had the best turnout of all the
photo talks so far with 20 to 30 folks attending!

i'm sure the good attendance had a lot to with the two tv interviews i
did to plug the event. brad richmond, videographer with channel 5 here,
and steve dawson did a two hour interview with me in my studio! brad
edited this material down to an excellent 2 1/2 minute plug for stereo
and it showed on prime time (6:00 news) on thanksgiving!! (a good day to
be thankfull for all the free exposure!!) the next morning at 5:25, an
interview i did with channel 9, aired on the "good morning k.c." show!
two hours later, i ran into a relative stranger who said they had just
seen me on tv!! boy!!

after the slide show we spent time talking about all the different ways
of doing and viewing 3d! i'm saying "we" because i had some excellent
help with this event! lesia winters, fellow camera club member and
photo3der, assisted, and did a great job helping in all phases of this
undertaking including lugging and setting up equipment!!! she also was a
tremendous help during the talk by bring up important points that i
would forget!! many thanks to her for being involved!!!

this event also drew folks from way beyond the greater k.c. area! before
the meeting was over we were talking about the possibility of setting up
a 3d k.c. group and starting out by patterning our meetings after the
famous "3rd street diner party" last august in richmond!! anyone
interested in getting together with us can email me at jbaird@xxxxxxxxx!
we plan to have our first meeting sometime in january! see you there!!!

tooDDDeloo!! john baird! creative stereography! kansas city!
