I saw it when it first came out in LA. I thought it was worth seeing,
but it was far from Glass' best work. I prefer Einstein on the Beach
which I saw many years ago in NY and his earlier work. The staging was
pretty lame as was most of the 3D effects, I understand however, efforts
were made to improve it. Also, bring your own glasses, the ones they
handed out didn't fit over eyeglasses. Also I feel Glass' music has
been in a rut since his opera "the Photographer" which if I recall was
about Muybridge and some duel where he killed some guy...
In short, I liked it OK, but I am a fan of minimalist music and 3D, and
I barely liked it, I don't know how the other 99.9999999999...% of
people who are fans of neither would feel. But as a 3Der its probably
worth seeing just for the spectacle (excuse the pun).
