P3D tv fields for Pulfrich

Thanks to all that have responded following my comment "Whilst writing I
can't remember the specs. of NTSC". - my memory has now been refreshed!

The main point I was making was that due to the different images use for the
two fields, a delay of only a 25th PAL (or 30th NTSC) is required from the
glasses.

Before anbody responds saying that they have done/seen Pulfrich video
sequences with 25 images per second only (i.e. same image both fields) let
me just add:
If in this case the glasses produce a delay of only 25th second, then the
viewers eyes will see a 3d effect, then no 3d effect, then 3d effect. - the
brain can sustain the illusion of 3d over the period where there is no 3d
effect (this, like the whole process, is assisted by the depth clues in the
picture).

p.s. since everybody is talking about Christmas images etc, I was wondering,
has anybody every seen 3d (anaglyph etc) christmas cards etc produced for a
limted production run etc?
