P3D 3D Realist Slide Dupes

What Dr. T says on duplicating is about it in general. One off the wall idea
a guy might try is to put the complete pair in a 4X5 carrier, mask it off,
filter the light, project on a piece of 4X5 copy film mounted in an open 4X5
open holder at 1:1 with the holder taped to the base. Insert white scrap
print paper first to focus then replace it with a piece of 4X5 copy film.
Cut them out as a single pair when done. About the only time this would come
near being practical would be an pair that could not be replaced. Two
problems: (a). 1:1 at the image is pretty small to focus to. (b).
conventional copy light would be very slow so would have to replace it with
a flash chamber. Sounds goofy but I know a guy that kicks 35mm up to 4X5
just that way. Then again not so goofy, what better way to make registered
prints-just slice them apart, reposition and mount again. Neat thing about
it is that most enlarger lenses are flat field and faithful. This is all
probably for naught since Jimmy says he is technically inept! For you jimmy,
shoot twice.
