P3D Barbie Digital Camera

Okay now that George has gotten me out of delurking mode, here's
a question. With Christmas coming up I was thinking of getting
my daughter (and for me) that new color Barbie digital camera
from Mattel. The price is right at about $69 US. Of course I'm
not expecting high resolution images at that price but was wondering
if it is worth hacking for 3-D purposes. I visited the computer
store but couldn't find any real specs printed on the box. The
salesman said he read in some computer magazine that it is pretty
decent but couldn't tell me more. I checked the Mattel web site
but alas, not much info can be found there either.

You might all remember the B&W camera adaptor for the Nintendo Game
Boy that came out awhile back. That looked interesting especially
for the price but checking it out , the quality was just awful. Is
the Barbie digital camera any better?

P.S. It's interesting to note, that other toy imaging devices were
the Tyco video cam and the novel Fisher video cam using audio
cassettes. The latter one being a collectors item now.

Gabriel
