P3D Re: WWI stereocards & Ebay

I just looked at the newer listings on Ebay and compared my "$1-2 per card"
estimate of WWI boxed set prices with the listings of opening bid prices of
$6.95-9.95 for a large number of Keystone WWI single cards. I would suggest
looking around at even high priced antique shops for alternatives.
There were LOTS of WWI boxed sets sold. Each card had many different card
backs - sometimes just a blank back, sometimes with text and the boxed set
sequence and other times with just various texts. The ones that did not occur
in boxed sets tend to be more valuable. There were 1000++ Keystone WWI
negatives produced and only 400 or so showed up in the common boxed sets.
Like any auction, Ebay has good deals - some for the buyers and some for the
sellers. But it definitely has variety.
