P3D Christmas lights

Well it finally snowed here in good ol' Boise, Idaho on Christmas
day. After the presents were opened, the fine meal eaten, and the
sun went down I took my camera, brand new Manfrotto tripod, and
several rolls of Ektachrome Elite II film out to capture the Christmas
lights.
In the past I had to judge exposures with my Realist, but now I was
armed with an RBT X3. I set the camera up on the tripod,
composed the shot, choose an fstop (usually f11 or f16) and
opened the shutter. I let the camera choose the length of exposure
(anywhere from 8-20 seconds).
Last night I got the film back and mounted up and to say I am
impressed is an understatement. The RBT performed flawlessly in
many different light situations from houses completely covered with
thousands of lights to a tree with just a few strings, to flood lit nativity
scenes. Even the shots with animation turned out great. One had a
carousel and a ferris wheel and another had a hot air balloon that
went up and down and a helicopter with moving rotors. They made
for some great shots.
If anyone is interested in seeing my results, I am always open to
exchanging slides for viewing. I am sure some of these will make
their way into the SSA Gama Folio.
That's all for now,
