I'll let Jon Golden answer the RBT questions.  I will say, however, that
you can have Realist slides commercially mounted.  I've been using Kodalux
mounting services for years with no problems.  Some people have complained
that Kodalux mounting is not good enough for projection use.  I've only
projected my slides once, and didn't notice any problems.  Certainly they
look good in a viewer.

There are some other commercial mounting services also.
