P3D Moderate Hyperstereos

( tone: inquisitive, IR 8) Dr. T is of the opinion that 120mm
seperation would make little difference if 65mm were not enough. I'm not
sure I understand this. wouldn't the desired result depend on the
nearest object distance? For example, using my Realist I took a photo of
the city with 2 trees as nearest objects ( trees approx 50 yards away)
Using Karen's twin Xa2's ( I drilled an extra hole in the bar for
moderate hypers) I took the same shot.
After viewing each image, I noticed that the realist image flattens out
much quicker beyond the trees and the buildings appear to be on the same
plane ( flat)
The XA2's image has noticibly more depth, the buildings have
distinguishable depth for 2 city blocks before flat infinity. Unlike
aerial photography where large bases would have to be exponentially
larger to notice a difference, don't you think moderate hypers have
applications requiring more than 65mm but not much greater than 120 mm
or so??
