Standard marking for 2x2s (2-D and 3-D) and Realist-format slides is in 
the lower left corner as you view the slide as it should be seen 
(right-side up, front towards you). Usually a red dot is requested. For 
2x2x2s, the left image dot is red or orange and the right image  dot is 
green or blue. I have seen this in most clubs, councils, and in PSA. 
When projected, the slides are turned upside down and the dot is now in 
the upper right corner, which makes it easy for projectionists to see if 
the slides are set up properly before starting the competition/program.
