P3D hinged camera bar?

Hi all,

With all this talk over on S3D about twin rigs, I was wondering if any
of you remember a while back someone talking about mounting a couple of
point-and-shoots to a hinged bar that would allow slightly hyper shots
if extended so the cameras were side-by-side, but was hinged so the
cameras could be oriented bottom to bottom for close ups?  Was this bar
home made or is it available somewhere?  Or am I dreaming this whole
thing?  What is life?  And, finally, is the first sentence convoluted
enough for you?
