"We" can't exactly decide on a word and expect it will be accepted (look at
"stereopticon")...

I think the "word" the will eventually make it into the average mindset will
be "stereo 3D"... It seems to me that it will be the computer that leads the
way for mass consumption of stereoscopic imagery, and "stereo 3D" is being
used to differentiate from what is currently called 3D in cyberland.

Stereo 3D has yet to hit big~ perhaps the first to make the biggest splash
(Playstation? Nintendo?) in the stereo 3D niche will have the honor of
coining the term that will stick. The big question is: what about the
hyphen? Between 3 and D? Between Stereo and 3D? We can't have it in both
places-- maybe the hyphen will not be used at all! (After years of
indecision, I've dropped it from Studio 3D!)

To hyphen or not to hyphen- now THERE's a thread! ---------------?

(Actually, I've become enamoured of this thing ~ )
